Meet Dr. Courtney Brady, DMD

Dr. Courtney Brady is a cosmetic and restorative dentist with a rare combination of artistry, clinical depth, and genuine warmth that patients feel from the very first appointment. With sixteen years of experience and advanced training in everything from esthetic smile design to complex TMJ therapy, she approaches every case as both a science and a craft. For Dr. Brady, dentistry has never been just about teeth — it's about restoring confidence, improving quality of life, and making each patient feel truly seen. Why I Became a Dentist

Growing up, Dr. Brady knew she wanted to work in healthcare — she just hadn't found her exact place yet. In college, she made it her mission to explore, spending time shadowing across different medical disciplines with an open mind and no predetermined answer. Dentistry wasn't even on her radar at first. Then she spent a single day in a dental office, and everything changed.

What drew her in wasn't just the science — it was the immediacy of the impact. A patient sits down, and within a single appointment, something shifts. Their pain is relieved. Their smile is restored. Their confidence is renewed. For someone who had always wanted to make a tangible difference in people's lives, dentistry was the perfect intersection of medicine, artistry, and human connection. She never looked back.

My Educational Background

Dr. Brady began her academic journey at Northeastern University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then went on to Boston University's Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, graduating with her D.M.D. in 2011. During dental school, she was recognized as a standout member of her class — serving as President of the BU Dental Student Research Group, earning the Massachusetts Dental Society's Matthew Boylan Scholarship for distinguished service to organized dentistry, and presenting original research at the 2009 IADR/AADR Meeting.

After dental school, she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the University of Florida, where she trained directly under Dr. Peter Dawson — widely regarded as one of the founding fathers of modern occlusal science. She also earned her Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI) during this same residency.

In the years since, Dr. Brady has invested deeply in advanced education through Spear Education, multiple implant mini-residencies, and specialized training in comprehensive rehabilitation, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign, TMJ therapy, and Botox for both esthetic and therapeutic applications. She has also completed Dr. Frank Spear's prestigious Art of Presentation workshop — not once, but three times — an invitation-only program for dentists who lecture at the national level.

What truly distinguishes Dr. Brady is not just what she knows — it's what she gives back. She has served in leadership roles with both the Massachusetts Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry, including serving as President of the Massachusetts AGD. She was recognized with the MDS 10 Under Ten Award, one of the most competitive honors given to young dentists in Massachusetts. Align Technology has designated her a Key Opinion Leader for Invisalign, placing her among a select group of clinicians shaping the future of clear aligner therapy.

She has lectured nationally to fellow dentists and new graduates, led Spear Education study clubs, and founded her own study club for young female dentists — a community she built from the ground up because she believes that mentorship changes careers. Outside the lecture hall, she is also a published author on the relationship between dental health and systemic conditions, with a particular focus on the oral signs of acid reflux.

My Life Outside of the Dental Office

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Brady's world revolves around her family. She and her husband Matt are raising their son Dax, who keeps them on their toes with a packed schedule of sports and adventures. Whether she's cheering from the sidelines or planning the next family trip, being present for those moments is what matters most.

When she does get a moment to herself, you'll likely find her on a yoga mat, experimenting in the kitchen, or tracking down live music somewhere. She's a traveler at heart and a lifelong learner by nature — which means her free time has a funny way of becoming her next course or passion project. One thing that tends to surprise people: Dr. Brady is a dentist who truly loves public speaking. She lectures nationally and lights up on stage — a combination, she jokes, that her colleagues find almost as unusual as she finds it natural.
